My solo installation at the Danforth Art Museum is in Framingham Massachusetts from September 13, 2025 until January 11, 2026. The museum is open Tuesday – Sunday, 12-5. Press about the show and Museum. The Museum is closed for holiday break 12/24-1/1.

William Hogarth, an eighteenth century artist, feels like my sibling separated by a mere 300 years. Like him, I consider myself a “visual dramatist”. Little Dramas at the Danforth Art Museum critiques our new Gilded Age, laughing at our human foibles and seriously wondering about societal choices around wealth and work. See the Little Dramas catalog here. And more short videos here.

The figurines are 10″ tall, and their environs and props are in scale. The Palace Music room has a keyboard and a 9″ tall double bass. All of the work is made of paper, wire and paint. The moving scenery Cranky has 14 feet of moving scenery, with 9″ paper cut-outs populating the scenes. In other parts of the installation, there are 42″ high cardboard cutouts (see Palace Party, below).

Puppets

Plenty of Puppets and puppet videos. Here is a preview of “Let Them Eat Cake”

The puppet videos have traveled all over the country. Some are serious, some are funny.

The hand puppets are around 18″ tall, made of paper, wire, paint and fabric. The Puppetmaster and Judge in costume, is me performing. The puppet room is all red and full of puppet stages, props and costumes.
